SPA tops lists in Washington and San Diego
June 2010: For the third consecutive year, SPA was named as one of the 50 Best Places to Work in Washington, and for the first time, selected as a Best Place to Work in San Diego.
The competition is sponsored by the Washington and San Diego Business Journals, and looks for companies that “go beyond the norm to foster an enjoyable and meaningful work environment for their employees.”
Companies were evaluated through employee surveys in areas such as team effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, people practices, and retention.
SPA President Named Finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year
May 7, 2010: Ernst & Young LLP announced today that Phillip E. Lantz, President, Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. is a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2010 Award
in the Greater Washington region. According to the press release, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal
commitment to their businesses and communities. Mr. Lantz was selected as a finalist from nearly 100 nominations by a panel of independent judges.
SPA provides program planning, systems engineering services, support of surety inspections and monitoring, and analytical support to the Navy’s Strategic Systems Programs (SSP). In addition,
SPA provides management support in the implementation, improvement and execution of the TPS program. The work will be performed at SPA Headquarters in Alexandria, Va; Kings Bay, Ga.; and Silverdale, Wash.
SPA Named by Washingtonian Magazine as Great Place to Work
Oct. 22, 2009: Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. was chosen for the 2009 Washingtonian Magazine’s list of Great Places to Work in Washington. More than 200 workplaces were evaluated on measures
such as: generous pay and benefits, challenging and interesting work, great work-life balance, opportunities to learn and grow, financial stability, commitment to charity and community, and the recognition and respect
given employees. Final determinations relied heavily on employee surveys. The November issue of the Washingtonian has a feature with information about SPA and all of the companies that were selected for the Top 50 list.
