SPA’s Command and Control Systems Engineering Group (C2SEG) provides systems engineering and analytical services to joint and naval acquisition and research, development, test, and evaluation organizations in support of the combat systems requirements process, acquisitions process, operational issues, and systems engineering solutions related to Command and Control; Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence; and intra- and interoperability matters.
The Command and Control Systems Engineering Group works in the following application areas:
- Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (BMC4I) System of Systems (SoS) requirements development and analysis
- Ballistic Missile Defense systems engineering: future capability design and requirements analysis, and system-wide command level coordination
- Missile defense systems engineering, related BMC4I systems engineering, and exercise planning and analysis
- Navy Single Integrated Air Picture (SIAP) value-added analysis and implementation planning
- Developing the allocation of requirements to systems
- Ensuring that the required capabilities are incorporated into implementing systems requirements, system specifications, interface documents, and program plans
- Assisting in Joint Integrated Air and Missile Defense Organization (JIAMDO), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Navy SIAP development (PEO IWS), and Navy Architectures (Operational, System, Technical) development
- Supporting Program Managers and staff with development or assessments of Modeling and Simulation strategic development and funding approaches, Command and Control (C2) related subjects for acquisition milestone documentation per the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition process
- Supporting various senior decision makers, Integrated Product Teams, and Working Groups on acquisition, strategic communications, and Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (BMC4I) disciplines
- Assisting and advising Program Managers and Business & Financial Managers (BFM) with the development and execution of financial and acquisition strategies
