SPA Named Government Contractor of the Year!
Nov. 1st, 2011 -- SPA was named as the Contractor of the Year ( $75M-$300M Category) in the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards, held Nov. 1st at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner. Winners were selected from among 35 finalists spread across various categories.

The awards program is produced by the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, the Professional Services Council and Washington Technology to recognize outstanding achievement by companies and executives in government contracting. More than 950 people attended the awards gala.

In his acceptance comments, SPA President Phillip Lantz said, “When I founded SPA some 39 years ago with three people, I had no idea where it would go. I only knew that I had been given the opportunity to do some challenging and important work, that I wanted to keep doing that type of work because it was so satisfying, and that I wanted to find more such opportunities and some smart, dedicated people to work with me.
